The Dice Game of Risk and Reward

🧩 Overview
Farkle is a fast, fun, and unpredictable dice game that blends chance, nerve, and smart decision-making.
Every roll tempts you to push your luck — but one bad throw, and you could lose everything!
With simple rules and endless replayability, Farkle has become a favorite for families, friends, and anyone who loves testing fate with six dice and a bit of courage.
👥 Number of Players
- 2 or more players (best with 3–6).
- Works perfectly for family game nights or casual gatherings.
🎯 Goal of the Game
Be the first player to reach 10,000 points by rolling scoring combinations with six dice.
You’ll keep rolling to build your score — but if a roll gives you no scoring dice, you “Farkle” and lose all points from that turn!
🧮 Gameplay & Structure
🔹 Setup
- Each player starts with six dice.
- You’ll need a score sheet and pencil (or our printable Farkle sheet).
- Choose who starts — play then continues clockwise.
🔹 On Your Turn
- Roll all six dice.
- Set aside any scoring dice (see table below).
- Decide:
- Stop and keep your points for the round, or
- Roll the remaining dice to add more points — risking everything if you Farkle!
- If you Farkle (no scoring dice), your points from that round are lost.
- Play continues until one player reaches or exceeds 10,000 points.

🧠Strategy Tips
- Play safe early: Take moderate points instead of risking a Farkle.
- Go big late: When you’re trailing, risk higher rolls to catch up.
- Keep track of how many dice remain — rolling all six again earns a “Hot Dice” bonus (you can continue your turn with a fresh roll).
- Never forget: knowing when to stop is the real key to winning.
đź•’ Game Length
Each game of Farkle lasts 20–40 minutes, depending on the number of players and how bold everyone is feeling.
🧾 Recording the Score
Use a Farkle score sheet to track turns, running totals, and high scores.
It helps prevent arguments (and laughter) during those “did I really Farkle?” moments.
